Configure Gmail imap on Androids

You can retrieve your Gmail messages with a client or device that supports IMAP, like Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail.

Enable IMAP in your Gmail settings

  1. Sign in to Gmail.
  2. Click the  gear in the top right.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
  5. Select Enable IMAP.
  6. Click Save Changes.
Note: This setting is not available while using the basic HTML view of Gmail. To enable IMAP, use the standard view instead.

(Then add you info into your devices}

To configure the 'Email' app on an Android device for access to Gmail, just follow the steps below:
  1. Enable IMAP in your Gmail settings.
  2. Open the Email application.
  3. Tap  and the Settings
  4. In the top corner, tap  select Next to get started with setup.
  5. Enter your full Gmail address and password, then select Next.
  6. On the next screen, you can give the account a nickname and choose the name to display on your outgoing messages. Tap Done.
And you're done. You can verify your settings from the Inbox view by tapping , select Account and then scroll toServer settings.
Incoming settings
IMAP server: imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Security type: SSL (always)
Outgoing settings
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Security type: SSL (always)

How to set up Yahoo! Mail on your Android device

This article describe how to manually configure your Yahoo! Mail account on an Android device using android email app.


To set up your Yahoo! Mail on Android device manually:
  1. Select the Email icon on-deck.
  2. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password.
    • If an error occurs ("Setup could not finish, etc."), select Manual Setup.
  3. Select IMAP for type of account.
  4. Enter the following server setting information:
    • Incoming server: android.imap.mail.yahoo.com
    • Port #: 993
    • Security type: SSL (accepts all certificates)
    • Outgoing Server: android.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    • Port #: 465
  5. Keep all other settings the same.
  6. Complete the remaining setup process. 
  7. You can use android email app to setup Gmail account as well
  8. For Gmail accounts just email address and passcode.

Switching PS3 from HDTV back to a Regular TV

Alright, step by step.

1) Hook up your PS3 to whatever TV you want with whatever cables you want


2) Make sure the PS3 is in the Standby mode (not on, but not completely switched off on the back)... The light on front should be red.


3) Hold the Power button on the PS3 down for 5-6 seconds until you hear 2 total beeps (not the PS button on the Wireless controller, but the power button on the console)


4) PS3 will reset video output and re-configure to new settings.
